Englewinds is honored to perform for the 300th Anniversary of Old Paramus Reformed Church.
The congregation was formed in 1725 and continues to this day. General George Washington used the church as his headquarters ten times from 1778-1780. The present building was completed in 1800 using stones from the original church.

Mariachi! Internationally renowned Mariachi star Alvaro Paulino joins Englewinds! ENGLEWINDS musicians perform the virtuosic “Flight of the Bumblebee” by Rimsky-Korsakoff, and other bee-related musical selections.
All proceeds go towards preservation and maintenance of Grace Memorial Chapel. The chapel has outstanding acoustics, beautiful stained glass windows and a vibrant history since 1884. Grace Memorial Chapel was designed by William Tuthill, chief architect of Carnegie Hall in NYC.

Englewinds performs the classic folktale narrated by Thomas Crawford, Director of the American Classical Orchestra, NYC and with mime Catherine Gasta, who acts out the characters. The program introduces children to the different instruments of the orchestra and their unique sounds.

Learn more about wind energy!  This program features a world premiere of  "Cyclogenesis" by Gregory Rossetti and "World Winds" by Bruce Odland for woodwind quintet and multi-media, as well as other gusty music. Discussion with documentary film maker, Melanie La Rosa, who will show film clips about wind energy in the Northeast U.S.
